About
About MPG by Model
MPG by Model is an independent reference site about the fuel economy ratings EPA has published for cars, SUVs, pickups and vans since model year 1984. It is written and maintained by Daniel Parker.
The site exists to answer two questions well: how a particular model's ratings have changed over the years, and how much fuel one vehicle would use compared with another at your own mileage. Every chart, rank and sentence is generated from EPA's published ratings, checked against the source, and dated.
Independence
MPG by Model is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by EPA, the Department of Energy, FuelEconomy.gov, or any carmaker or dealer. It does not sell vehicles, take payment for coverage or give buying advice.
